Discover our acoustic and NVH solutions

True-to-reality sound and vibration analysis, speech and audio

Quality and comfort make travel enjoyable. Analysis of acoustic signals and vibrations can inform the treatment needed to improve experiences in development of vehicles and aural devices. Advanced noise vibration and harshness (NVH) test methods and simulation tools identify sources of noise in production and operation to streamline development activities. Our partnership with HEAD Acoustics enables us to provide cutting-edge technology for comprehensive analysis of sound and vibration.

Applications

  • Sound and vibration
  • Automotive
  • Simulation
  • Communication
  • Audio and speech
  • Rail, water and air
  • Appliances/machinery
  • Noise pollution

Sound and vibration

Compare and optimise the vibroacoustic behavior of your products – interactively or automatically; on the test bench or on the move.

Automotive

Solutions for automotive customers to tune and test systems to enhance vehicle sounds as well as voice and audio quality.

Simulation

Combine simulation and testing to validate simulation models, identify potential for improvement and predict the impact of changes.

Communication

Solutions to enable manufacturers and test laboratories to measure, analyse and optimise communication device quality.

Audio and speech

Simulate room acoustics, test, evaluate and optimise how users experience headphones, headsets and smart speakers (including voice assistants).

Rail, water and air

Sounds and vibrations on trains, boats and aircraft affect travel experiences, as well as the quality of life for those living close to transport routes. Capture and analyse these emissions to identify potential for optimisation.

Appliances/machinery

Comply with noise regulations and labeling requirements by incorporating these tools in the development of your electrical appliances and machinery.

Noise pollution

Assess environmental noise by capturing sound using binaural recordings and create aurally accurate reproductions on site or in the lab.

Analysis software

We offer comprehensive software solutions from HEAD Acoustics, and due to the modular structure of these software platforms, users can tailor specific solutions to their individual requirements.

  • Sound and vibration analysis
  • Telecommunication and audio analysis

Artificial head and binaural recording

HEAD Acoustic's variety of artificial heads accurately reproduce all acoustically relevant components. With binaural recording systems, you can record sounds true to reality, as if you were there yourself. The range of ear simulators with different microphones enable aurally accurate recordings, while mouth simulators allow speech playback in the transmitting direction when voice and audio quality are tested in the laboratory.

Playback and noise simulation

Our systems make sounds and vibrations perceptible – from the pure, aurally accurate playback of binaural recordings to the realistic reconstruction of sound fields and background noise.

NVH simulation

With Head Acoustics NVH simulation tools, you experience your data in form of virtual test drives, thus speeding up the development processes. Auralise transfer path analyses based on test bench data or evaluate the NVH performance of a system even before components and assemblies can be physically combined.

Jury testing

SQala is a modular jury testing software from the ArtemiS suite for creating and performing listening tests. It is characterised by its straightforward, solution-oriented user interface. For the creation of listening tests, a modern, clearly arranged page layout is provided, which makes it easy to create both simple and complex listening tests in a very short time.

Sound source localisation

The HEAD VISOR measurement system comprises the software and a microphone array. The acoustic camera uses beamforming technology to pinpoint sound sources in real time. Various microphone arrays are available for different applications. Some are scalable and customisable and all can be activated and controlled with HEAD VISOR software.
