Sample RNA isolation
miRNA and non-coding RNA analysis requires total RNA isolation using methods that preserve RNA integrity and expression profiles. The MagMAX mirVana Total RNA Isolation Kit is designed for isolation of total RNA, including small RNAs such as microRNAs, from a wide variety of sample types.
Assay selection for microRNA and non-coding RNA analysis
TaqMan Advanced miRNA assays provide the highest level of sensitivity and specificity when studying miRNA for validation or focused profiling and screening studies, detecting down to 60 miRNA copies into the cDNA. Our advanced chemistry utilizes a universal reverse transcription requiring only one reverse transcription reaction to study hundreds of miRNAs.
We have two methods for sensitive, precise quantification and profiling of mature miRNAs using real-time PCR: TaqMan Advanced miRNA Assays and TaqMan MicroRNA Assays.
