Scope of services

Non-NATA calibrations


Thermo Fisher Scientific provides a comprehensive range of calibration, testing and repair services in our laboratories across Australia as well as in our purposely built mobile calibration van that provides premium remote support. We provide non-NATA calibrations and PPE testing to Australian Standards both on-site and in our laboratory. Furthermore, a complete solution with our ASTEA asset management portal allows our clients to keep track of their assets calibration and compliance.

 

NATA calibrations


Thermo Fisher Scientific have NATA (ISO17025) accreditations, covering electrical, pressure and temperature calibrations. Reports are issued in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 offering fast turnaround times to our customers. Furthermore, a complete solution with our ASTEA asset management portal allows our clients to keep track of their assets calibration and compliance.

Fields of calibration

Chemical and gas

Our laboratory located in Seventeen Mile Rocks, QLD, can provide non-NATA calibrations in the fields on chemical testing.  In addition to in-house testing we have mobile vans that can perform the same calibrations onsite, thus reducing the amount of downtime on your instruments.

Pressure

Our purpose-built pressure laboratory enables us to provide our customers with high accuracy measurement and a certified uncertainty of 25 parts per million (ppm). We can calibrate pressure equipment from as low as -100 kPa to as high as 70,000 kPa.

Electrical

Our NATA accredited electrical laboratory is used for calibration of general purpose, low frequency electrical equipment. We can calibrate instruments to an accuracy of 10-20 ppm for volts, 30-160 ppm for current and 30ppm for resistance. The electrical calibration system can also be utilised in our on-site calibration laboratory.

Temperature

Our heat and temperature laboratories are temperature and humidity controlled and is capable of actual and simulated temperatures to an accuracy of 0.05ºC.

Process and laboratory instruments

We specialise in calibration, maintenance and repair of laboratory and process equipment for water and liquid monitoring. In addition to in-house testing, our mobile service vehicles are fitted to service your online and laboratory equipment on your premises. Whichever option you choose, you can be assured our factory trained engineers are using approved standards and calibration equipment.

Mobile calibration vans - Australia

We offer mobile calibration vans in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia that can perform NATA calibration of gas and chemical detectors on-site, and non-NATA calibration of other instruments – thus reducing the amount of downtime of your operation.

  • Pressure measurement and indication instruments: ranges from -100 kpa to 7000 kpa
  • Electrical instruments:  multimeters, clamp meters, portable appliance testers, RCD testers. All essential handheld instruments
  • Temperature probes and related instruments: negative 20ºC and up to 650ºC
  • High voltage gloves/sticks etc.
