HRP (horseradish peroxidase) is an enzyme frequently used as an indicator in biochemical assays. It is used to amplify signals and enhance a target’s detectability. HRP acts on various chromogenic substrates to produce many different colors and acts on chemiluminescent substrates to produce light. HRP is often conjugated to an antibody to detect a target molecule. The antibody specifically locates the target, and HRP, in company with a substrate, and produces a detectable signal. HRP is also regularly used in double labeling techniques when researchers want to simultaneously visualize different targets in the same sample. Invitrogen anti-HRP antibodies are designed to reliably detect HRP in various applications.
Invitrogen anti-HRP antibodies are designed to dependably detect HRP in various applications.
