MiDAS Software allows an initial analysis of the sample composition with regards to the number of targets detected by MiDAS, as well how these targets can be summarized at the three most discrete levels of taxonomic resolution and allows the cross-comparison of the samples.
The Summary and Sample Viewer of MiDAS Software displays a cross-sample snapshot of your analysis including:
Probes Viewer displays probes for detected targets from the sample. It provides data to support the targets detected by the MiDAS application. The Targets Viewer displays all target calls across all your analyzed samples. It allows you to quickly search for a target of interest and export your data for use in other applications.
The summary table view allows an initial analysis of the sample composition with regards to both the number of targets detected by MiDAS, as well how these targets can be summarized at the three most discrete levels of taxonomic resolution. The taxonomic identification is generated from the Axiom MiDAS target descriptions to give an unweighted diversity, or count of the number of families, genera, and species, detected in the sample. This view allows the cross-comparison of the samples.
Family-level tiles allow visualization of Axiom Microbiome Array data anywhere from one to all of the samples that have been interrogated by MiDAS. Each tile represents one of 560 families represented on the array, which are in a fixed position in the grid. Initial inspection of this view can be used to make a high-level visual comparison of the sample. Condensed Family gives an alternative view of the Family-level description. In this view, only tiles that represent families detected by MiDAS in one or more of the samples analyzed are rendered. The view is organized such that family tiles are organized by the super kingdom to which they belong in alphabetical order. Detected families within the row are organized in alphabetical order with each row representing a different super kingdom.
The microbe frequency view depicts the frequency of microbes appearing in the sample set at two different levels of taxonomic resolution. On the x-axis the user can view either the families or species detected on at least one sample interrogated by the Axiom Microbiome Array. The y-axis gives the percentage of the families or species in the samples. The user can also determine which sample the family/species of interest is detected in by clicking its corresponding bar.

*Minimum storage requirements are for a single run. Total storage space should include additional space for data storage of input and output files from current and previously completed analyses. In addition, you must have a minimum of 5 GB of free space on your C drive to run an analysis. A batch name folder is auto-generated during the analysis process. This folder includes all the necessary files needed to view your analysis results in the Viewer.
