Invitrogen NovaFluor Blue 690 dye is excited by the blue laser and optimized for cell-surface applications. It can be used for both spectral and conventional flow cytometry. This dye has a unique emission spectrum when excited by the 488 nm laser. It fits in a spectral space that is currently only accessible using cross-laser excited tandem dyes, such as PerCP-Cyanine5.5. Replacing highly cross-laser excited dyes may potentially allow for the inclusion of an additional marker in a complex multicolor panel. NovaFluor Blue 690 dye should generally be paired with highly expressed antigens.
The macromolecule-based NovaFluor Blue 690 dye produces highly stable fluorescence, and stained samples retain their fluorescence intensity and spectral signature when stored at 4°C. Use NovaFluor dyes with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer to reduce background and to block non-specific binding of NovaFluor labels, PE and APC tandems observed with macrophages and monocytes.
We offer NovaFluor dyes conjugated to primary antibodies for use in flow cytometry, as well as NovaFluor Antibody Conjugation Kits, NovaFluor CD4 Label Characterization Kits, and custom conjugation services.
Spectral signature of NovaFluor Blue 690 dye. Normal human peripheral blood cells stained with CD45 Monoclonal Antibody (2D1), NovaFluor Blue 690 were used for analysis. Data was acquired on a 5-laser Cytek Aurora system.
Staining of mouse splenocytes with NovaFluor Blue 690 conjugated antibody. C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes were stained with CD3 Monoclonal Antibody, Super Bright™ 436 only (left) or along with CD19 Monoclonal Antibody, NovaFluor Blue 690 (right). Viable cells were used for analysis, as determined by LIVE/DEAD Fixable Blue Dead Cell Stain Kit, for UV excitation.
