The number of regions that regulate NH3 emissions, known as ammonia slip, are few, but the benefits of monitoring NH3 can be plentiful:
To monitor NH3 slip, Thermo Fisher Scientific offers two main CEMS methods for process control and compliance applications:
We understand that every plant, facility, and customer is uniquely different. Our applications specialists are ready to speak to you regarding mercury emissions regulations and continuous monitoring solutions.
The Thermo Scientific 42iQ Low Source NO-NO2-NOx Analyzer utilizes chemiluminescence technology to measure the amount of nitrogen oxides in the air from ppb levels up to 500ppm. This is ideal for direct extraction from gas turbines and boilers for power generation requiring a chiller to remove moisture and probe/NH3 converter at the sampling point.
The Thermo Scientific 42iQ NO-NO2-NOx Analyzer utilizes chemiluminescence technology to measure the amount of nitrogen oxides in the air from sub-ppb levels up to 100ppm. This measurement range is optimal for use with dilution of 20:1 to 100:1 with no need for a chiller due to the clean, dry, dilution air. A converter in the probe converts all NH3 to nitrogen oxides for analysis.
