The Mini Gel Tank is designed for more intuitive use and greater convenience compared to traditional electrophoresis tanks. The unique, side-by-side tank design allows you to perform electrophoresis of 1 or 2 mini gels. The two separate gel chambers allow use of less running buffer, only use the buffer needed for each gel. The forward facing well configuration makes it easy to load samples. Each Mini Gel Tank undergoes a rigorous stress-relieving process that reduces tensions in the plastic to help prevent cracking. Made of durable polycarbonate and fit securely in a robust supporting base, the Mini Gel Tank is designed to stand the test of time. The Mini Gel Tank is compatible will all Invitrogen precast mini gels and SureCast handcast mini gels, and is also available in Protein Gels Welcome Packs. Optional Mini Blot Modules enable you to perform wet transfers in the same tank.

The Mini Gel Tank has a unique tank design that enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use. Each tank can accommodate up to two gels per run where each gel is run in its own separate chamber- making it easy to run just one gel. This advantage allows for lower buffer requirements- only use the buffer needed to run one gel.
The Mini Gel Tank can be used for wet tank transfers using the Mini Blot Module. Two Mini Blot Modules fit into the Mini Gel Tank to allow transfer of two gels at a time. The unique design of the blot module allows for lower transfer buffer- only 220 mL per gel. This lower requirement keeps the amount of methanol needed to a minimum.
