Troubleshoot my 1405 TEOM

The -273°C number is absolute zero and it means that there is an open circuit. First, please review the following Technical Bulletin to find instructions on how to check the cable connections for corrosion.  Then use the information in this technical bulletin to reinstall the new probe and/or cable if necessary. Lastly, perform the following steps:

• Detach the ambient temp probe (with radiation shield) from the 10m cable and connect it directly to the back of the 1405 TEOM™, Continuous Ambient Particulate Monitor.
• If you have a solid connection here, the cable needs to be replaced. (Part #: 51-010812)
• If the temperature reading is still -273°C, the sensor should be changed out with a known good one, replacement sensor cable. (Part #: 51-010792)
• If with a known good sensor attached to the back of the unit, the temperature is still 273°C, please contact technical support:
