Antibody purification involves isolation of antibody from serum (polyclonal antibody), ascites fluid, or from the culture supernatant of a hybridoma cell line (monoclonal antibody). Protein A/G is a recombinant protein expressed in Escherichia coli (50.5 kDa; 6 IgG binding sites) and is recommended for purifying polyclonal IgG from many species. The POROS MabCapture A/G Select Resin is a new product that can be scaled up for bioprocess applications.
