Invitrogen Cyan Fluorescent Protein (CFP) is a useful expression label in the blue channel for flow cytometry and imaging applications. CFP can be excited by the 405 nm laser line and is optimally detected at 485 nm. It is a versatile biological marker for monitoring physiological processes, visualizing protein localization, and detecting transgenic expression in vivo.

We offer a series of RFP CellLight fusion constructs of signal peptides or cell structure proteins with CFP for accurate and specific targeting to subcellular structures, including the nucleus and plasma membrane.

CellLight reagents offer high spatial and temporal resolution for live-cell applications and tolerate fixation with formaldehyde for fixed-cell analysis. Green Fluorescent Protein, Red Fluorescent Protein, and Cyan Fluorescent Protein constructs are available for multiplexing with cellular stains and other CellLight reagents.

Live-cell imaging of HEK-293 cells showing plasma membrane-CFP (blue) and peroxisomes-GFP (green) using CellLight reagents
Live-cell imaging of HEK-293 cells with CellLight reagents using BacMam technology. HEK-293 cells were transduced with CellLight Plasma Membrane-CFP, BacMam 2.0 and CellLight Peroxisome-GFP, BacMam 2.0. The following day, live-cell imaging was performed using a 60x objective on a DeltaVision Core microscope and standard DAPI/FITC/TRITC filter sets.

CellLight reagents

CellLight reagents are ready-to-use fluorescent protein constructs targeted to specific subcellular structures. These reagents provide a simple and effective method for introducing targeted intracellular labels within living cells. Simply add the reagent to your cells, incubate overnight, and you’re ready to image your cells.
