MicroAmp 96-Well Tray for VeriFlex Blocks (Cat. No. 4379983) is needed to load 1 or 2 MicroAmp Optical 8-Tube Strips with Attached Optical Caps on the ProFlex, SimpliAmp, and Veriti thermal cycler 96-well blocks, and QuantStudio 3 and QuantStudio 5 blocks.

The storage capacity for the SimpliAmp™ Thermal Cycler is ~5.9 GB. The run methods and run records stored use most of the memory. It can store 1.2 million run methods.

The two different types of trays are for use with different tubes:

• 4381850, MicroAmp 96-Well Tray/Retainer Set – this Tray is for use with Single Tubes and/or Strip Tubes.
• 4379983, MicroAmp 96-Well Tray – this Tray is for use with Single Tube with Cap and/or Strip Tubes with Caps.

We offer only a 96-well standard (0.2 mL) block that is not interchangeable.

The compatible plates and plastics are the same as those used with the ProFlex™ 96-Well PCR System and can be viewed here.

The maximum block ramp rate of the SimpliAmp™ PCR machine is 4°C/sec.

The Auto Delta feature allows you to incrementally increase or decrease the temperature each cycle at a step within a cycling stage. One common application for this is touchdown PCR.

The SimpliAmp™ thermocycler features innovative VeriFlex™ Blocks for enhanced PCR functionality. Three separate Peltier blocks (4 columns each) provide maximal versatility and flexibility and offer two key benefits:

• PCR optimization: each block can be set with a specific temperature, which is ideal for precise control over PCR optimization.

No, the 2720 PCR machine does not have a gradient feature. Our newer thermal cyclers including the ProFlex™ PCR System and Veriti® Thermal Cycler have better-than-gradient VeriFlex™ blocks.

To add an infinite hold, set the time for the hold to ‘99.59’. The screen should then default to the infinity (∞) symbol for your hold.
